The Diaverum for Health Challenge 2025 was a moment of great unity and participation for our entire organization: with 5,906 colleagues from 24 countries involved in 275 wellness activities, the spirit of True Care was expressed in a concrete and engaging way in every corner of the world.
In Italy, we enjoyed this experience with colleagues from all levels and regions where Diaverum operates: from the CEO to the Head of Medical Operations, from the Cluster Heads of Sicily and Puglia to the Area Managers who traveled specifically to take part in the activities.
Guided by the five pillars of well-being: social, mental, environmental, intellectual, and physical, the Italian team demonstrated how taking care of oneself and others can take many forms of solidarity and sharing, in the joy of being together and experiencing special moments like this.
With an initiative organized by Dario Magro, Well-being Ambassador for Italy, the team served meals to people in need at the soup kitchen of the parish of SS. Redentore di Val Melania in Rome. It was an intense experience that took the group out of their comfort zone, reminding them that “you never get used to poverty”, as Stephanie de Sury, ESG Global Manager, who came from Spain specifically to participate in the initiative, pointed out.
We realized that it is impossible to ignore the needs of others: we live in a community that involves us all and to which we must respond responsibly. The message is therefore clear: the ability to include even the most vulnerable is synonymous with maturity and social responsibility.

The Challenge rewards not only individual commitment, but also creativity and team spirit. This year, the Italian team stood out in the Most Inclusive category, winning the award thanks to an extraordinary solidarity initiative in favor of the local community.
Globally, the other winners in the various categories were:
- Most Creative: the “Ajvar” team from the Delčevo clinic (North Macedonia) for celebrating local culture
- Most Fun: the Lewisham Dialysis Centre team (United Kingdom) for their energetic activities
- Best Team Spirit: the Casablanca team (Morocco) for a day of cycling that ended with a shared picnic
This edition of the Challenge confirms how commitment, collaboration, and creativity can make a difference, rewarding initiatives that combine fun, inclusion, and team spirit.
The award for the country with the highest participation went to North Macedonia, with one of the highest percentages of involvement.
This edition of the Challenge confirmed that True Care is a culture that is lived every day: not only caring for patients, but also for the well-being of the people who contribute daily to making our company strong.
Chiara Durio, CEO of Diaverum Italy, commented: “Every year, the Challenge reminds us what True Care really means: our teams around the world are passionately committed, combining health awareness, collaboration, and fun. 2025 was undoubtedly the most successful edition to date.”

While, Valeria Gigli, HR Director emphasizes: "The initiative of the SS. Redentore canteen in Val Melania touched each of us deeply. Serving a meal, meeting someone's gaze, listening to a story are simple gestures that remind us of the most authentic meaning of True Care. This year, we chose to step outside our daily routine and put ourselves at the service of the community, enjoying an experience that combines emotion and responsibility.
The Challenge creates energy and team spirit, but above all, it invites us to reflect on what really matters: caring not only for patients, but also for the people and the areas in which we live. When well-being meets solidarity, a value is created that strengthens our sense of belonging and gives concrete continuity to our culture."
